High Schooling Completion Report

I am applying to the Student Affair Committee for approval to complete my schooling, taking into consideration my special circumstances.

I attended the fall term course of the university in August 2009. I didn’t adapt to the life and study during my first several months in Canada. I felt alone and depressed. Before I took part in examinations, I often felt nervous so that I only had 4 – 5 hours’ sleep and had a bad physical and mental condition. I remember that I had been dizzy many times in the examinations during my high school years. It is a pity that I was confused and nervous in the examination of economics in term 1. As a result, I could not finish the examination, and did not do well in other examinations.

Last Christmas, I left for China to treat my disease. The doctor gave the diagnosis that I had lypemania (My disease diagnosis is attached).

After returning to Canada, I took the medicine that eased this nervousness. During this time, I gradually adapted to the study and life in the university. During the winter term, I felt the improved mental conditions and strengthened self-confidence, and studied successfully. Moreover, I was no longer dizzy in examinations. At the end of the winter term, the exam results of; Managing in a Contemporary Context is B+; the results of Managerial Finance and Operation Management are B; and the result of Market Management is C-. I think this is not because I didn’t study well or was nervous in the examinations, but because I forgot the examination time. I hope I will have good results in the examinations next term.

I think there is another reason why my results did not attain those regulated by the university. Since my entrance to the university, I did not thoroughly peruse all regulations in the students’ handbooks. I was told that students who did not pass the examination in one lesson would be dismissed. I did not know that the students whose average score was lower than 4.2 would also be dismissed. Therefore, I planned to restart this course of economics during the summer term, and did not duly renew the course in winter term. As a result, I did not attain the scores regulated by the university. I have never thought that I had done such a wrong thing because of my ignorance.

I think I improved study and life during the winter term and I had completely adapted to the current environment of the university. I am confident that I will make progress with future study and more settled life and successfully finish my schooling.

I am confident that I can successfully finish all courses required by the university. So I wish that the Student Affairs Committee will approve me to continue my schooling. I extend my heartfelt thanks to you if you consider my application.
