Qutan Temple – palace building of Ming Dynasty

Qutan Temple is a typical palace-style building of early Ming Dynasty, more than five hundred years away.

The temple is located in a castle of almost rectangular shape running from the west to the east with an overall layout arranged in front, middle and rear yards on a central axis. The temple is running high and low along the relief of the ground with magnificent halls.

Among numerous temples and monasteries in Qinghai Province, it boasts of sublime building, fine fresco, rare and precious relics. There are 51 fresco galleries, full of color fresco of Buddhism of Ming and Qing Dynasties, and with striking colors and vivid figures, they are rare and precious art works.
