The vegetation is vertically distributed with clear separating lines. Coniferous forest, hardwood forest and alpine bush and mesophorbium jointly constitute the uniqueness and diversification of the scenes of Beishan Forest, while snowy mountains, valleys, special-shaped peaks, stone forests, hornstones and cliffs form the characteristic mountain landscapes.
Datong River runs across Beishan Mountain, with 18 brooks joining it. Surrounded by mountains and rivers, the ecological environment here is very beautiful. The mineral degree of Qili Medicinal Spring is very high and hence it is called one of the world top four mineral springs.
