Who Should Do Housework and Household Chores between a Couple?

Many people think that women should do the housework. However, nowadays, many women have their own jobs. Women are very tired, because they have to devote themselves both to their jobs and their families. Is only women’s duty to do housework? What about men? Who do the house work in your family? Shouldn’t they give a hand?

Many couples find they look at the division of  housekeeping chores differently. Domestic disorder simply doesn’t bother some people while others can’t bear the sight of a crumpled sheet. If talking it over with your spouse doesn’t improve the situation, then you have the option of doing it yourself or hiring someone else to do it. While the latter may turn out to be a strain on your resources, the former option can leave you overwhelmed and too stressed out. In extreme cases of discordance, the only solution may be to talk to a counselor or maintain separate establishments so that the living habits of one do not affect the other. What you choose finally will depend on how far you are willing to adjust between your personal compulsions and your need to be with your partner.

How to Share Housework and Chores Between a Couple?

It is important not to set too high a standard for your partner to follow when sharing household chores. When a couple can divide chores in a way that both spouses feel satisfied with the outcome, they are showing mutual respect for one another.

So, Who Should Do Housework and Chores between a Couple? In America, this is not even a question. If both spouses work, the housework is split. If one of them doesn’t work, s/he does the housework in lieu of paying work. Gender doesn’t matter.

If it starts to go otherwise, the spouse who is being overworked will not stand for it. S/he will either make that person change, or divorce that lazy bugger.
