Will Linux Server Upgrade or Downgrade Affect Data? Wil this RAM upgrade request result in a reprovision server? Making regular backups of the linux server, turning the server off and swapping RAM should not affect data on the server.

Server Troubleshoot TICKET DETAILS: I am eager to know whether RAM Downgrade influence my data on my Linux Server or not. I just requested a RAM upgrade or downgrade from 2G to 4G. I found 4G RAM was needed for my site. So the problem is, Will RAM Upgrade or Downgrade Influence My Data? Will this request result in a reprovision server?

Very much I’m afraid my data in the server would be lost. Neither do I want to re-upload the files, nor do I want to import databases again. It is hard for me to upload the files and import databases once again. I would cancel the RAM upgrade or downgrade if the data would be lost.

So please kindly explain such an occasion whether the Linux Server Upgrade or downgrade would influence my data or not. Thanks.
