Chaerhan Salt Lake is located in the south of Qaidam Basin.
There is a very strong salt cover (tens of centimeters thick) on the surface of the Salt Lake, which allows the people to construct buildings and roads on it. There are salt flowers in various shapes under the salt cover.
The lake contains rich sodium, potassium, magnesium, lithium, calcium, iodine, cesium and other elements. It is the largest salt lake in China and the second large in the world.
There are Long Salt Bridge, Jade Wave in Salt Sea, Illusive Castle and other sights constructed on the salt lake.
