Becoming immortal is natural trend of human development

Becoming immortal, as the sublimation of human overall development, will be the natural trend of human development!

Becoming “immortal” is a great generalization of high level of sustainable development and high level of all-round development of mankind, being the most comprehensive development of the human, and the final necessary result of limitless and constant development of human.

The new development theory not only values human development，but also believes that in human development，we should pay equal attention to both overall development and sustainable development.

The road to “gods” is just the road of sustained and overall development of the human.

Seeking the overall development of the human is Marx’ basic idea. However, the idea of all-round development has met with distortions and misunderstandings of varying degrees. Many people only take “overall development” as a vague and general concept，instead of a great theory；Many people think passing all the school subjects in tests means overall development，or mastering more skills means “overall development”. Such a serious misunderstanding of “overall development” is a profanity of the theory of human overall development, being more terrible than openly opposing overall development! Human overall development is never the same as passing some tests in the school，but should include the following three levels：Overall development of body and mind, overall development of morality，and overall development of knowledge and ability. Meanwhile，a high-leveled human overall development is a complicated and enormous system engineering，and can never be achieved by mere education.

By expounding the four major attributes of “the god”, namely “eternal life”, “omniscience and omnipotence”, “supreme benevolence and supreme beauty”, and “daylong ecstasy”，we have revealed for the first time the full-sensed overall development of the human in six aspects, namely, body, intelligence, ability, morality, beauty and pleasure. As a person, only when he is alive or in existence can he have all other things. Thus, “body” development is primary，and the supreme goal of “body” development is “eternal life”. What a person lives for is pleasure, and it is the basic reason for the existence of a life. The “daylong ecstasy” and “supreme happiness” characteristic of gods is the supreme goal that can meet the need for the highest level of development of the human.

If we look at the matter from the three major needs of the human summed up by Engels, namely “need for survival, need for enjoyment and need for development”, we will find, “eternal life” and “daylong ecstasy” just meet the “need for survival” and “need for enjoyment” whereas “omniscience and omnipotence” and “supreme benevolence and supreme beauty” just meet the supreme level of need, “need for development”. Thus, it can be seen, becoming “gods” is just the highest level of overall development, meeting all the three major needs perfectly.

The highest ideal Marx sought is “mankind’s thorough emancipation”. The antonym of emancipation is bondage, oppression and suppression, and its convertible term is freedom. Seeking “mankind’s thorough emancipation” is just freeing mankind from all external and internal bondages, repressions and oppressions, so as to escalate from the realm of necessity to the realm of freedom! Only by letting everyone become “a god” can mankind realize its fullest and most thoroughgoing emancipation! Only by evolution from mankind to immortals can we transcend space-time limitations，free our body and mind completely, realize omniscience and omnipotence，reach the highest kindness and highest beauty, namely, reach the most perfect prospect!

To reach such a perfect prospect，we must ensure a sustainable development for mankind. The development theory of materialist dialectics holds the following point: “There is no ultimate, absolute, or holy matter… Nothing exists except occurrence and elimination, and the unceasing and limitless process from a lower level to a higher level.”(p.213 of Volume 4 of Selected Works of Marx and Engels). Human development is no exception，also being an “unceasing and limitless process from a lower level to a higher level”. “Immortal” is the greatest goal of the limitless human development, and such a great development goal can not be attained in one action, requiring people’s long-term and sustainable development. Hence，the process of becoming immortal is a continual development process.

In short，becoming immortal is a great generalization of high level of sustainable development and high level of all-round development of mankind, being the most comprehensive development of the human, and the final necessary result of limitless and constant development of human.
